the past is lost…
Well, if you’re wondering “what ever happened to the original comics?”, they’re long gone.
First off, they were pretty bad. Better than stick figures for sure, but most 4th graders could probably do better. They were certainly not something to be proud of. That said, I wonder if they would have made me famous… yeah, right.
The classmate I shared the comics with was also in my Spanish class. So, after she read the comics, most of them were torn up so that they did not fall into the wrong hands. I would then dump the scraps of paper on her, for lack of anything better to do.
Therefore, the original works will never been seen by human eyes again.
I do have the 1999 issue somewhere, maybe I’ll be able to find it some day.
the classroom
What’s more fun than taking an old classroom that one remembers so well, and trashing it.
I haven’t set up a time period for the new work, but after watching a show on the Discovery Channel which featured an abandoned penitentiary covered with graffiti, broken windows and missing doors, I knew that’s where I wanted to head with this project – at least in part.
it starts again…
… and I’m still going nowhere.
(Just a note: the teacher’s name has been changed, not to protect the innocent, but to protect myself.)
I have a plan, I really do, I just have no way to get it done. I do promise that it will happen before I die (as long as I do so old age).
I’ve started working on a story. I’ve left Jurassic Park and Isla Nublar behind, for now. I’m working on something new, far from Jurassic Fart’s past. There’s only so many times that Ms. Andeo can get eaten by dinosaurs.
And the end of that fateful weekend in August, 1989 (well, the comics were in 1993, but anyway), Isla Nublar was destroyed by the military. Isla Sorna’s fate is unknown, but its likely the same has befallen the island.
I’ve considered parodies of other films or television. In fact, there was a short lived Buffy The Vampire episode of Jurassic Fart, about three pages long at most. That was somewhere around 1999 or 2000.
For its revival, I’m working on an original story. I have some ideas sketched out, but nothing substantial.
As they say, stay tuned…
